St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary-Mushanga is located in Kibingo Town Council, Sheema Municipality. It is one of the four seminaries in the diocese.
St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary-Mushanga offers education to pupils of upper primary that is; primary five, six and seven.
The Seminary admits pupils in Primary Five through interviews that are often done in December every year in different gazetted places within the Diocese. ONLY CATHOLIC BOYS ARE ADMITTED TO THIS SEMINARY.
Due to the increased demand and the number of students admitted in St. Francis Xavier Minor Seminary, Kitabi. His Grace Paul .K. Bakyenga (late) realized the need to start another Minor Seminary in the Parish of Rwera – Ntungamo.
On 28 August 2018, on the feast of St. Augustine, the Patron of Archdiocese of Mbarara, the Minor Seminary was started. The new seminary was hosted in the former buildings of Zhengmei Construction Ltd, a Chinese Company which was constructing Ntungamo - Mirama hills road.
Kitabi Seminary is one of the oldest academic institutions in Greater Bushenyi and in the whole of Ankole region. It was established in 1935 as a boys’ school offering secondary school curriculum. Apart from the academic pursuit, Kitabi Seminary has a core objective of preparing young boys to the vocation to Priesthood.
