Emergency Training

The Association of Ambulance Professionals Uganda Emergency Medical Services have completed training UCMB ,hospital nurses and drivers in basic life support and first aid course held from 23rd to 25th June 2025 at Bishop Kakubi Memorial Hall Archdiocese of Mbarara.
The aim of the the three days training was to equip selected nurses and drivers with the up-to-date skills to recognise life threatening conditions and acquire a skill set to provide BLS wherever required. Managing choking (Recognizing a choking person and providing the cycle of intervention)
Fracture management and muscles, bones and joint injuries (Demonstrating immobilisation bandaging and splinting skills)
Bleeding (Recognising external bleeding, internal bleeding and controlling external bleeding)
First Aid management of burns, poisoning, and snake bites and dog bites (Defining burns, frostbite, describing the severity as per surface area and encouraging cooling of the burnt area.
