The Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (MSMMC)

In 2007, the Congregation Kkottognae Brothers and Sisters of Jesus from the Diocese of Cheongju in South Korea was received in the Archdiocese of Mbarara.

The congregation has two communities: one at Yesu Ahuriire, Karama, Mbarara City where the Sisters take care of orphaned children that are HIV/AIDS positive and whose parents died of the same disease. The second community is in Kiruhura near Kaguta Road Junction where the community is engaged in an outreach programme of taking care of the homeless people, street children whom they always pick from Mbarara City and Lyantonde Municipality. One of their noble contribution is sponsorship to the needy students and pupils, the congregation also helps in building and constructing houses for the homeless.
