About Chemin Neuf Community
The Chemin Neuf Community is a Clerical Religious Institute of Pontifical Right with an ecumenical vocation formed from a Charismatic prayer group in 1973. Currently its membership is in 30 Countries and with 12,000 population serving in the communities.
The Archdiocese of Mbarara is privileged to have the first community in Uganda. The community has a house community at The University of St. Joseph Mbarara.
The Congregation also has Lay community members who are temporally professed belonging to the same Congregation. They are engaged in Youth Ministry at the University of Saint Joseph Mbarara, they also work hand in hand with CANA couples and family ministries.
The Congregation does chaplaincy work at the University of Saint Joseph Mbarara.
