About The Daughters of Mary and Joseph
The Daughters of Mary and Joseph is an International Congregation of Pontifical Right which has been working in this Diocese since 1959. The Provincial House is located at Nyamitanga Hill. They have communities in Burundi, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon and in Uganda.
The members are involved in Education sector including teaching in Primary. Post-Primary and Tertiary Institutions. They also do apostolate in the area of counselling, Social Economic Development with emphasis on strengthening family income and empowering women.
The Congregation has over the years provided leadership in one of the prominent Catholic Girl’s School that is; Maryhill High School.
They have communities in the Parishes of Nyamitanga and Ibanda
