About The Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena

The Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena is an Institute, founded by Gerine Fabre, a French woman in 1852 in a small town of Albi in Southern France. The Sisters were welcomed from Hoima to the Archdiocese of Mbarara in September 2021.

They have a community at Omwitagi Eucharistic Centre, Ishongororo Parish, Ibanda district. They do apostolate in both primary and secondary schools located at Omwitagi, and also family apostolate.
